As we get closer to our date, we want to remind everyone about our fantastic website. The site, whose link is below, is a great resource which has the date of the event, the location and a map, the food list, as well all the photos and videos that have been posted from previous picnics, and the voice recordings of the “Stories” section we did last year. Please go and enjoy the videos, photos and recordings any time.
To choose items to bring for the picnic, please go to the site and click on the link to the Food List spreadsheet and add the items that you would like to bring. Please let us know if there is something on the list that we need to change or add, or if you have problems adding to the list.
For those of you that couldn’t attend last year, we set aside an hour for a story time where people had the opportunity to share stories about the family, their families, the picnic, or any other topics relating to the family. As our generation is getting older, we thought it was a great way to pass down stories the younger generations may not know. It’s also a great opportunity for the younger generations to share any new milestones or events that everyone may not have been made aware. We think this went well last year, and want to do it again this year. Please let us know if you have a story you would like to share so we can be sure to leave enough time for everyone to share that wants to share.
We also made time last year to celebrate some birthdays. We can also do that this year if anyone would like to do that. Please let us know if there is an event you would like us to include and celebrate this year.
Finally, please let us know if there is anyone you think we need to add to the distribution list. Please also share this email with any family member that you do not see on the list.
